Creamy sweet and savory!
You’re going to want to add this Creamed Cheese Corn Casserole to your list of absolute favorite side dishes It pairs sweet corn with a delicious, creamy cream cheese enhanced base and a cheesy topping for a bake that’s heavenly balance .
Ingredients:
1 ¼ (16 ounce) packages frozen corn kernels... I most always use fresh cut off the cob *6 ears
1 (8 ounces) package cream cheese
2/3 cup butter
½ cup milk
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 pound Bacon (optional)
1/4 cup green onions
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1- In a slow cooker, combine corn, cream cheese, butter, milk, sugar, green onions, sharp cheddar cheese, and bacon pieces, reserve 1/4 cup for topping. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
2- Fry bacon and chop into pieces. Reserve until corn is cooked
3- Cook on High for 2 to 4 hours, or on Low for 4 to 6 hours.
4- Top with remaining bacon pieces.
